Dr. Don Goff is Vice President, Strategic Consulting Group, at Criterion Systems, Inc., a Vienna, Virginia-based information technology systems integrator. Dr. Goff leads Criterion’s information assurance and security group, providing cyber security support to a range of federal agencies and commercial customers. Prior to joining Criterion, he was Professor and Executive Director of the Security Studies Laboratory at University of Maryland University College, designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education by the National Security Agency. He is retired from AT&T and the U.S. Army Reserve. As a corporate executive, he gained experience with the vulnerabilities of the US telecommunications infrastructure and was involved in responses to catastrophic failures. In the military, he developed methods and doctrines for tracking and responding to terrorist and rear area attacks. Dr. Goff received his Ph.D. from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois in telecommunications and engineering management.
